There were many things in the Wizarding World that felled Lily Evans, but most of the time she found everyone and everything on the more agreeable side. And she had been living in it for about 6 years, going on 7. Maybe that was a side effect of her pleasant disposition or her infectious smile (even when she wasn’t feeling up for it) or maybe it was because of her incontestable position within the school (Head Girl). Of course, she didn’t mind it—the endless choruses of “yes”s and waves of nods of heads. It made her life quite a bit easier to be completely honest. And an easier life was at the top of Lily’s (mostly impossible to achieve) wish list. But still, that didn’t prevent people from having said disagreements with her. Such, there were two things in the Wizarding World that particularly felled Lily Evans, and both seemed to be working against her and the universe.
Summer is such a blasé time. Such a stereotypically relaxing, carefree, blissful time. A time like no other. Where there are no regrets, no second thoughts, and most of all no frustrations. So why was it that on this particular Wednesday night, a discontent Lily Evans found herself climbing out onto the roof outside her window at 2:27 in the morning.
DO YOU EVER THINK ABOUT HOW HARRY NEVER ONCE CAST THE KILLING CURSE. LIKE…… he was in a one-on-one duel with the most evil wizard of all time, the wizard who murdered his parents, most of his parental figures and several of his friends, the wizard who had been causing him pain since the age of one, the wizard who is seconds away from murdering him, and this golden-hearted angel of a boy still never cast Avada Kedavra. He just cast a disarming spell and it blasted Voldemort’s own killing curse back at him. Harry wasn’t responsible for the spell that killed Voldemort, that was entirely Voldemort’s own doing. Like sure, Harry knew that if his wand overpowered Voldemort’s it would probably kill him, but if Voldemort hadn’t cast the spell with the intent of killing Harry, he would still be alive, and I think that there’s a big distinction. Harry had so much goodness and kindness in his heart and he was so full of integrity and decency and forgiveness fgs. im crying i will fight anybody who insults this cupcake
Harry Potter growing up and becoming more confident and sassing the fuck out of adults that have abused their authority over him in the past gives me strength like the entire conversation he has with Vernon Dursely at the beginning of DH is incredible I mean:
“I’ve changed my mind,” he said.
“What a surprise,” said Harry.“Are you out of your mind?” demanded Harry. “A plot to get this house? Are you actually as stupid as you look?”
“Just in case you’ve forgotten,” said Harry, “I’ve already got a house my godfather left me one. So why would I want this one? All the happy memories?”
Uncle Vernon got dragged
